About

The HPC Shiksha portal, developed by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) under the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM), is an educational platform dedicated to fostering skills in High Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The portal serves as a central hub for learners, researchers, and professionals to access structured courses, recorded sessions, reading materials, and practical resources, all designed to build strong computational knowledge and programming expertise.

The primary purpose of this platform is to bridge the knowledge gap in HPC technologies and prepare individuals for the growing computational needs in research, engineering, and industry. With India rapidly advancing in supercomputing capabilities, HPC Shiksha plays a vital role in ensuring that students and professionals are trained in parallel programming, distributed computing, and advanced HPC techniques essential for solving complex, data-intensive problems.

As part of its agenda, HPC Shiksha also acts as a repository for workshop recordings, session videos, and study materials from various training programs and awareness workshops. This ensures that participants who could not attend live sessions, or those who wish to revisit specific topics, have continuous access to quality content for self-paced learning. The platform thus promotes knowledge sharing and ensures the long-term availability of HPC resources for academic and professional development.

HPC Shiksha hosts a range of programs, including awareness workshops, foundational courses, and advanced-level training. These programs cover topics such as parallel computing concepts, OpenMP, MPI, GPU programming (CUDA), and performance optimization techniques. Designed and delivered by experts from leading academic institutions and HPC centers, the content ensures learners gain both theoretical understanding and hands-on experience through practical exercises and assignments.

By leveraging this platform, participants can learn at their own pace, access high-quality content remotely, and stay connected with the latest trends in supercomputing and AI technologies. HPC Shiksha aims to create a strong talent pool capable of contributing to national and global HPC initiatives, thereby supporting research, innovation, and industry competitiveness.
