This is a unique opportunity which is being made available by NSM in collaboration with Nvidia to offer these courses free of charge for participants from institutes where NSM facilities are installed.



1. Could you please let me know the timings of the course?

Ans: All the DLI courses will be delivered and guided by Nvidia. As every DLI course has been allotted to an instructor, we are asking to complete the course on Saturday as accordingly the slots are being booked. Students have to login to the course by following the link which will be provided. From the time of login it will take 8-10 hours to complete one course. Timing may vary course to course. Mostly a student can start the course at 10 AM on Saturday.



2. Will there be an option to watch the lectures on-demand?

Ans: Course structure has been defined and you will need to attend the lectures live.



3. Will the course have an introduction to tools like SLURM etc, which are required for submitting jobs on HPC clusters?

Ans: Yes, In Week-0 that is on 15th January 2022, we will cover this introductory session where brief introduction to the system in Campus will be given.



4. Does the institutes have an HPC cluster on which we can run the experiments?

Ans: Yes. The system is ready. Please ask senior authorities to create your users.



5. Would it be possible to provide a detailed schedule of the lab sessions if any? The schedule provided here doesn't talk about any lab sessions ?

Ans: All the labs and demos will be conducted on Nvidia Cloud during the course only. The in campus systems will be used to complete the assignments.



6. Is it possible to connect to the NVIDIA Cloud server remotely and hence do the course without necessarily being on campus?

Ans: Primarily these courses are being conducted on Nvidia Cloud. You can attend it from anywhere, provided you should be valid user (registered student of the respective Institute)



7. Can 2nd year UG students apply for this course?

Ans: Yes. This course is for all students (UG,PG) & Research scholars



8. Is this course available online ?

Ans: Yes, all the modules will be conducted in online mode.



9. Do we have evaluation exams etc for this course?

Ans: Every DLI has an assessment test at the end. After successful completion of the same you will be awarded with a certificate

11. Can this course can be accessed/practiced using a normal PC/Laptop from outside institute campus?

Ans: Primarily these courses are being conducted on Nvidia Cloud in online mode. You can attend it from anywhere, provided you have registered for the workshop.
